Hurricane Irma Update

Privé Island – September 14, 2017

Weathering the Storm

The developers of Privé at Island Estates are pleased to report that Privé came through Hurricane Irma with no damage. The island experienced no flooding or disruption to power.

In the shelter of the Intracoastal Waterway, Privé is protected by the barrier islands, coves and wetlands that surround it. Privé is masterfully designed for its tropical context by the most accomplished architects and engineers in South Florida. The island’s state-of-the-art sea wall system supports an average shoreline elevation of seven feet above sea level, first level garage is at 10 feet, second floor garage is 23 feet, and the porte cochère and lobby are 35 and 37 feet above the waterline.

Work towards completion has already recommenced and we look forward to commencing unit closings in October. Meanwhile, our thoughts go out to those throughout the region who were not so fortunate.
