Twin Luxury Towers Rising Quickly; Project on Track for 2017 Completion
What’s it like leading a construction project unlike any other? In a brief on-site interview in November 2015, we spoke with Bill Gardner, Suffolk Construction’s General Superintendent for Privé at Island Estates, an ultra-luxury residential development rising on South Florida’s last private island.
Gardner, who has been in the construction business for more than 40 years and built numerous high-rise projects, calls Privé “absolutely one of the most prestigious jobs I’ve ever had the opportunity to do.”

Gardner says his entire team is excited to be working on Privé, and he considers it an honor to be a part of this one-of-a-kind project, which he describes as “close to everything, but as private as you could possibly be without living on a boat in the middle of the water.”
All of Privé’s building permits and construction loans are in place, says Gardner, and the project is on schedule for completion in 2017. At the time of the November interview, crews were preparing to pour the third floors of the twin 16-story towers. Construction has continued to progress on schedule since then.
