In her design for Privé’s 70,000 square feet interior shared and social amenities spaces, Julia Chi, lead designer for Interiors by Steven G, began with an overarching sense and tonality derived from the grandeur and thrill of the building and its surroundings. This unifying vision guided her through the intricate design of each separate, dedicated space.

With custom furnishings and bespoke lighting made to order by New York’s Hudson Furniture, each room tells its own story. Throughout, threads of continuity are interwoven in subtle themes of shape, contour, texture and color. Sculptured lobby walls covered in ultra suede. Cork walls flecked with gold in the wine lounge, where the bar is backlit onyx and a 15-foot table is made from a single tree trunk.

Just as the island itself offers an ideal vantage point for the natural splendor that surrounds it, the interiors of Privé offer a worthy context for appreciation of the building’s extensive collection of fine art.
